Steven Friesen leads Bethany’s research and innovation initiatives, advancing new ideas that improve care and support better outcomes for residents and families.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Environmental Design from the University of Calgary and brings more than 20 years of experience in health services research and program evaluation across Alberta’s public and non-profit healthcare sectors. At Bethany, he helped develop the organization’s Integrated Quality Management System and continues to support evidence-based improvements in care delivery.

His work also explores how the design of care environments influences health, well-being, and quality of life.
