Bethany Care Foundation Scholarships
Scholarships are available for individuals who are enrolled in health care aide, nursing, health leadership or allied health post-secondary studies between September 2026 and August 2027.
All scholarships are generously supported by Bethany Care Foundation donors.
Scholarships are available for individuals who are enrolled in nursing, health care aide, health leadership or allied health post-secondary studies from September 2026 to August 2027.
Bethany Care Foundation scholarships recognize scholastic excellence, clear career goals and contributions to continuing care.
Applications are reviewed by a selection committee that includes Bethany Board members, leadership team representatives and others as appropriate.
Applicants will be advised of the committee’s decision in late August 2026. Scholarships will be awarded at an event recognizing students’ outstanding achievements.
Awards are taxable in the award year.
All awardees must submit their social insurance number to issue a Revenue Canada T4A form.
If you receive an award and withdraw from your program before completing the academic year, you must return the award to Bethany.
You may apply any year you meet the above criteria, even if you have received
scholarships in the past.
Each year you apply, you must submit a new, updated application form with
current transcripts.
For your application to be considered, you need to submit:
1) a copy of your most recent academic transcript
2) two reference letters
3) your post-secondary acceptance letter (only required for students graduating high school)
To be considered for a scholarship for the 2026/27 academic year
the completed application must be submitted by June 30, 2026.
• two reference letters with signatures; one academic and the other a personal/
volunteer/employment reference
• current grade 12 or post-secondary transcript
• acceptance letter from the post-secondary institution you will be attending (grade 12 students only)
Post-secondary students should contact their Registrar’s Office or Student Services. High school students should go to the Alberta Education website www.education.alberta.ca/students. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted.
