The Bethany Care Founders’ Bursary recognizes the academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement of post-secondary students who are children of Bethany employees.
Each year, two bursaries of $2,000 are awarded to support students pursuing full-time post-secondary or university studies.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be the child (natural, legally adopted or stepchild) of a Bethany
employee who has completed at least one year of permanent
full-time or part-time employment with Bethany
- Is a full-time grade 12 or post-secondary student
- Be enrolled in the coming school year at a recognized
Canadian university, college or technical institution and in a
program of study leading to a degree or diploma
Please note: Applicants who have already received this bursary twice are not eligible to apply again.
How Are Bursaries Selected?
Applications are reviewed by a committee that includes a Board Member, Bethany leaders, and other representatives as appropriate.
Successful applicants will be notified following the review process, and bursaries are presented at a recognition event celebrating student achievement.
