Independence with Support
Type B (Designated Supportive Living) at Bethany provides assistance with daily living and moderate clinical care within welcoming, community-based care homes in Calgary, and Central and Southern Alberta.
This level of care supports individuals who require help with personal care and health oversight while maintaining independence and connection.
This is home — with support close at hand.
At Bethany, Type B care provides residents with:
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Access to 24-hour on-site scheduled and unscheduled personal care and support services from health care aides and/or licensed practical nurses
Residents are encouraged to remain active participants in daily life, supported by professional teams who understand their needs and preferences.
How to Access Type B Care
Placement into publicly funded Type B (Designated Supportive Living) is coordinated by Assisted Living Alberta.
