Bethany provides Type A (Long-Term Care) within licensed care homes in Calgary and Southern Alberta. Our homes offer 24-hour nursing and personal support in communities where residents are cared for with dignity. As a not-for-profit organization serving Alberta families, we combine clinical expertise with a holistic approach to care that supports each resident’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.
At Bethany, Type A care provides:
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Access to 24-hour on-site professional nursing and personal care
- Consultative services provided on-site by care staff, such as:
- case management
- professional nursing
- rehabilitation therapy and other consultative services
Every resident receives a personalized care plan developed by an interdisciplinary team.

Alternative Level of Care (ALC)
In partnership with Alberta Health Services, Bethany provides transitional care for individuals moving from hospital to their next stage of support.
Complex Dementia Care
Bethany offers specialized dementia care grounded in evidence-based practice and advanced staff training. Our approach focuses on calm, familiarity, and meaningful engagement.
Young Adult Program
Bethany’s Young Adult Program is offered at Bethany Calgary and Bethany Collegeside.
Designed for adults under 65 who require continuing care, the program emphasizes:
- Self-determination
- Participation in daily life
- Goal setting
- Community engagement
Residents are encouraged to shape their home and routines in ways that reflect their individuality.
