Bethany Riverview

Bethany Riverview is a purpose-built care centre designed for people with complex dementia. The care centre is located on a 12-acre campus of care for seniors called Riverview Village in southeast Calgary. The campus is also home to about 400 seniors living in three affordable independent living rental apartments.

Bethany Riverview has 210 beds, 120 are dedicated for people with complex dementia. There are seven neighborhoods with 30 residents each. The commitment to creating a homelike environment with a focus on expert dementia care we will improve the quality of life for residents and their families in all stages of their journey with dementia.

Riverview Village, located in the area of Dover, in a well-maintained park-like setting close to bus routes, schools and shopping. This property offers affordable, comfortable rental accommodation for adults and families.

A Community to Call Home

Riverview Village includes a tenant social club that holds regular meetings and hosts various social events. Riverview Village is comprised of three unique buildings:

  • Mikkelsen House offers 139 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites that feature high ceilings and large windows with panoramic views of the city and mountains.
  • Wilkinson House offers studio and one-bedroom suites for adults 55+.
  • Kanerva House offers one-bedroom suites for adults 60+.

We also provide a dedicated social worker to support our tenants and assist them in remaining independent by providing referrals to community agencies and helping them deal with specific issues and challenges.
